Ghana_Princess pathways Mar 21, 2007 8:16 AM The first pic is of the street leading to a small town, where my parents live i jus like the look of it..like a pathway to somethin special.... for me its usually d pathway to a good home cooked meal afta escaping from the hustle of the big city... i jus like the look of the dirt road, the winding path has an artistic look to it for me, like its from someone's imagination or painting...am sure a lot of you are rolling your eyes ;) this is a pic i took of the longest river in my country...i stood at a high point and i thot the river looked like a pathway similar in some ways to the street and the dirt road...hmmmm...I must be High!!! jus kidding...enjoy
Ghana_Princess Call Me Mar 21, 2007 7:56 AM Innovation is always in the blood of real hustlers and we africans are real hustlers cos man has to survive..anyway the pic below is of a phenomenom called ' space to space' the guy sitting down is the owner of the small wooden box with the umbrella and from this point he operates a telephone service, its solely to call mobile phones...so lets say u ran out of phone credit and you really need to make a call..u jus go to him and for a charge per minute, you make your call or buy a few credits from him...so simple and they are all over the country ...u jus need a box and a mobile phone and you are in business! loves this country!!!
Ghana_Princess hello beautiful Mar 16, 2007 8:28 AM well since Miss Jolie has put us in the mood for spreading info abt the issues that affect our world i decided to share somethin am definately not proud abt...the poverty in Africa I took this picture in the biggest Market in my country, we are very colourful people hence the array of bright colours in all my pics, anyways the girl in the green shirt with the pan on her head is an example of the very horrible effects of poverty, girls like her and even younger migrate to the city from their poverty ridden villages, they come to the city, and work in the market as a "kayayo" they carry people's shoopin for them in the pans...nowthis is back breakin work, they carry really heavy stuff like bags of rice and follow them round more like a human shopping cart...now they dont charge a fixed fee..you just tip them..and am talking abt like 50cents nothin near a dollar ..and in the night they sleep on the pavements and mostly get raped by street gangs..most of the time you see them with babies on their backs...SAD
